Rehoming Help

Needing help does not make you a bad person. Our goal is to keep both you and your Shiba safe, reduce stress, and find the most responsible next step without shame.

While our primary focus is Shiba Inu dogs, we may be able to offer assistance for other breeds depending on circumstances and available resources. As a foster‑based organization, our capacity is determined by foster availability and current commitments.

How we approach rehoming

We start with information, options, and reality‑based guidance. Sometimes the best outcome is better management at home. Sometimes it is a private rehome. Sometimes rescue support may be appropriate. We walk through this with you, step by step.

When rescue may be appropriate

In some situations, rehoming privately is not possible or safe. Submitting a request does not guarantee intake. Capacity, safety, and foster availability matter. If we cannot take a dog, we will still try to point you toward the safest alternatives.

If a dog is in immediate danger, contact your local animal control or emergency veterinary services.
