Foster

Foster homes are the engine. If you can give a Shiba a safe landing spot, you’re the difference.

Shiba Saviors is currently operating on a small, in-home rescue model. We are not yet actively utilizing a large foster network. As we grow and the need increases, expanding into a foster-based structure is both likely and intentional. Building the right foundation first ensures that when we place dogs in foster homes, we can provide proper support, resources, and structure. If you would like to be considered for future fostering opportunities, please complete the application below. We will reach out as our program expands.



Short-term foster

1–3 weeks while we stabilize medical needs and evaluate behavior.

Longer-term foster

Ideal if you can support a dog for several weeks to a few months until adoption.

Foster-to-adopt

Low-pressure trial with support so the dog doesn’t bounce homes.
