We are a registered Florida non-profit and federal 501(c)(3) rescue organization. As an education-forward primitive breed focused rescue we help you understand the Shiba Inu breed and make informed rescue decisions without judgment. When rehoming or rescue is the right step, we focus on safe and responsible outcomes for both people and dogs.

Our primary goal is education. We teach people what it actually means to live with a primitive breed like the Shiba Inu: how they think, what they need, and what effective Shiba training looks like in real life. When people understand the breed up front, they can plan realistically, set their home up for success, and avoid the cycle of mis-homing, abandonment, and surrender. If Shiba Saviors ever becomes mostly education because fewer Shibas need rescue, that is a success. Rescue and rehabilitation still matter when guidance is not enough, but the long-term goal is a Shiba-aware community where fewer dogs ever need saving.
Coordinated intakes, foster placement, basic vetting, and behavioral triage.
We match Shibas to homes that understand the breed and are prepared for its specific needs.
Guides, webinars, and honest coaching: containment, recall reality, reactivity, and enrichment.
If you are a foster-based rescue and would like us to list your organization in our Great Resources section, or you would like us to feature an adoptable Shiba in our Available Dogs section with a link back to your site or contact information, reach out. We can talk through what makes sense.
