Shiba Saviors™ Adoption Application

Every dog is different and would thrive in different type of homes. Each of these questions are designed to give us a full picture regardless of the dog or the home. There are no pass-fail equations. Some dogs need more than others. Some questions are relevant to some dogs some are not.

Please fill out the entire form honestly and completely.

Some may seem not so great on paper but the meet and greet and the actual interview go great. Alternatively some may be fantastic on paper but the meet and greet prove challenging or the interview not so great. They are all pieces of a bigger puzzle we are trying to piece together to place our dogs in the best possible homes for their specific needs.

Fields marked with * are the minimum required fields, but leaving fields blank may impact your application approval.

Good fit over perfect paper

Some applicants may not look ideal on paper, but the meet and greet and interview go beautifully. Others may look fantastic on paper and prove to be a poor fit in practice. That is why we look at the whole picture.

Why so many containment questions?

Because Shibas are intelligent, independent, and often escape-prone. Doors, gates, guest traffic, harness fit, and daily management matter.

Most important answer

We pay close attention to what an applicant says they would do if the adoption does not work out. That answer says a great deal about long-term commitment.

Honesty

We value honesty in all aspects of the application process. Providing ANY false information is grounds for rejection. We will be thoroughly reviewing and verifying all information provided.

Review ALL Information

Please ensure that you review all profile information on the dog you are interested in adopting. Thoughtful profiles are written for each dog in our care and are provided for your review. Please be mindful that how a dog is described in our care may not be the same as how it behaves in your home environment. All dogs need time to decompress after coming to a new home.
